I think this is a great looking rug. The colors are really nice and blend to be a nice neutral.If this is a rug you will be laying on alot I would not recommend. The rug sheds a bit and is very textured We have it in our bedroom and with barefeet it feels like a massage.

Fell in love with the jute rugs at Pottery Barn, but couldn't pay a fortune for one.... Found this website, and was afraid it was too good to be true. I love this rug. I have it over another larger wool rug to add both texture and lighten the room. I also am very impressed with the customer service provided by RugsUSA. When a additional reduction happened prior to shipment they cancelled and resent a rug at the lower price. It wasn't a great deal of money but the care from the staff was the best I have seen. Rug was much thicker then expected and excellent quality. The color variation makes it interesting to rather than just a big blah rug. It smelled a bit when unrolled it but the odor quickly went away once aired out.

Unbelievably beautiful for the price. This is like something you'd find at Pottery Barn or Crate and Barrel for MUCH more. It's very thick and nubbly - if you like nubbly massagers on your feet you'll love it. (If not, you probably don't want this rug.) The color is completely neutral, almost trends toward gray (as opposed to gold). It looks gorgeaus in our beach cottage and, so far, is holding up beautifully.

I ordered the 9x12 rug last August for my living room. It looks fantastic and the price was better than fantastic. It is comfy underfoot and has held up well in a home with two dogs and a cat with claws. My large dog runs to it and rolls around everytime she comes inside. I share this not because I thing you are interested in my dog, but to disclose the level of use the rug gets. I would buy it again.

This is a good rug for the price. I did not experienced the problems that others did. Seems to be holding up ok. Sheds a bit and picks a bit but nothing to worry about. It is not perfect but the price was exceptional, and if anything happens to the rug I can replace it affordably. This is a good rug and I have already ordered three more of them.

This rug is thick and soft on the feet.It has a few strands that stick out here and there but that is natural with a jute rug. It was back ordered but once it was shipped it arrived in about 5 days to Atlantic Canada. I was so surprised when it showed up. This rug looks much more expensive than what I paid for it and it makes my family room look so cozy. My children love the big knots and say it feels like walking on a pebbly beach. Michelle

What a great rug! As I unrolled this chunky jute rug, I couldn't believe the beautiful coloring of different natural shades of burlap interwoven with subtle touches of grey and gold highlights. For so long I have not enjoyed my orange-brown hardwood, but this rug brings out the hidden beauty, who knew! The texure is exactly how I expect a jute rug to be, not too rough, not plush, but great to walk on. Although some say this rug is exactly like a popular braided jute found elsewhere, it really isn't. The other briaded rug is a very thick braid, has a rubber backing, and the coloring is not as vibrant as this Maui Jute. Because this rug is natural fiber there is a musty smell for the first few days that will go away, or you can use a product like FeBreeze to speed up the process. You will also find a dirt residue under the rug that also stops after some use and a few vacuumings, of course, a rug pad is very helpful. I was so impressed with the look and quality of this rug that I purchased a second one!

We ordered this rug on sale about a month ago, so got it for like $70 (what a bargain!), and I have to say, we were so happy when it arrived (eventhough it took over 2 weeks to get here..)! The rug is exactly as pictured online, both in style & colour. There was a slight smell for about a day, but that was it. The rug is soft on our feet, and our two dogs just LOVE to lie on it in the kitchen when we're cooking :-) I'd definately recommend this rug to other buyers. First rug from RugsUSA and we are already looking for our next purchase!

I love this rug! The coloring is beautiful and I love the texture - it's not a plush rug, but that's one of the reason's I love it. Some reviews have mentioned it is just like the Ballard Designs braided jute rug, and although they appear similar online they are not. The Ballard rug is thicker with a heavier braid and has a rubberized bottom. Upon arrival the Maui jute rug does have somewhat of a smell that does go away. As far as the dirt, yes if you lift up the rug there is residue from the jute but that also is just temporary. I chose the natural coloring and it actually makes my hardwood look so amazing that I don't dislike it anymore!! In fact, I have another one just like it on the way. : )

I order ed the 8x10 Chun ky Loop jute rug in biege . I love it and can't believ e the low price! It adds great textu re to my living room and I expec t it to be very durab le. Vacu umin g it has been easy as it is heav y enou gh to not be sucke d up. While the jute is firm, I don't find it to be too hard or scratc hy. It feels kind of nice on my bare feet. In the beginning it was tough for me to choose a rug without feeling and looking at it in person, but the floor in the picture is almost the same I have in my house and I wanted a rug to neutralize my morning/breakfast room. Both I and my husband love the look of it. The only thing I don't like about is that the loops of the rug are big and to move a dining chair you need to lift it up rather than sliding it out.Previously I had a jute rug under my dining table but the loops were small enough to slide the chair out. One of the end strands also came off but there are so many that it doesn't look bad. I may put it in a foyer where there will be no furniture on it. Nice to walk on and the look of it is great. I would highly recommend it for a foyer or a space with less moving furniture.

I love this rug! It works well with the modern/rustic aesthetic of my home. The creases caused by the rug's delivery flattened out in a day or two, so it looked great almost immediately! The price was right, and the look & quality are as good as more expensive options from specialty home stores. I get compliments on it all the time! My only complaint is that the rug "sheds" a teeny bit. Definitely not a deal-breaker, though. I am so pleased with this product that I'm thinking about getting a larger version for my great room!

Pro was great price for the size. Cons are that there are little pieces of sticks and wood strips in it. I bought this for my living room and although it looks nice it's not the most comfortable on the feet and definitely for laying on. With a dog and three kids I do not seeing this last more than a year. I've had it for 2 months now and have had loops coming up since I got it in various spots on the rug. It is nice and thick but will get something different the next time around.

This rug is identical to the one sold at B@llard Designs but for a fraction of the price. Very pleased with the rich brown color and durability. It is surprisingly soft underfoot for natural fibers. (Be sure to use a rug pad.) I didn't notice any odor or dirt as other reviewers mentioned. Happy with my purchase and plan to buy a smaller 6x9 when it's back in stock. Definitely recommend!

I absolutely love the way this rug looks in our dining room. It's surprisingly soft for being jute. It has a slightly rougher natural fiber feel, but is thick so it's also cushy. The color variations in it are very pretty. I've had the rug for a week and just vacuumed it for the first time after letting it be used a little. There is a bit of sand/dirt/dust underneath, but it came up very easily. I wouldn't put the rug on a carpeted floor due to this. That is the only reason I rated it a "4". Other than that it looks great, seems very durable and has a nice texture. I would definitely recommend.

I bought two of them and can't stop looking at them. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. Totally transformed my living and dining room. Sure, they were a little dusty, had some trigs and a small snag here and there. I call that character. That's what they make vacuums for. How would you look traveling all the way from China. These rugs are 10X more beautiful than the picture, the picture doesn't do it justice. Take it from me, best internet buy I've made. Could not have done better in a store. And the price can't be beat. Buy them now before there gone, you won't regret it.

Love this rug! Yes, like the other reviews there is dirt and pulls in the rug. That's what you get w/ natural fibers. The rug is beautiful. LOVE my new rug! I think I may have gotten a rug that's just a little too large for the room...BUT, if I have to have that problem, I'm glad it's with this rug. It's gorgeous. It's soft. Yes, there was a distinct smell when I first opened the package, but even this sensitive-nosed pregnant lady didn't mind one bit. I had ordered a different jute rug from another company and tried very hard to like it, but the color was way off and I had to send it back (not cheap). Needless to say, I was nervous to order another one, but the reviews were so good I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! I love this rug. It's softer, thicker and the color was perfect with enough variation to go with any decor. I'm planning on getting another for my entry. I love this rug! I got the 9' x 12' and I think it does measure a little smaller (about a 1/2 ft. each way). It still takes up a lot of space and looks very expensive. I got it on sale and it was a GREAT deal in my opinion. It's pretty soft for the material and not at all uncomfortable to walk on. I would definitely recommend getting this rug!

Bought this rug to match my runner that I had bought from "BD". Matches wonderfully, in fact looks BETTER! Have had it down now a little over a month in a high traffic area. PRO'S - Soft to bare feet, great quality, no shedding as natural fiber rugs tend to do, the fringe is braided so doesn't fray and look awful like my runner, looks just like it did when we put it down. CON'S - The only con so far (if you even want to call it a con) is that it doesn't have a latex backing. I didn't buy a rug pad but the front legs of our couch and an ottoman from a chair keep it in place just fine. Overall, I'm 100% satisfied and glad I purchased this rug. Will be purchasing more if not all rugs from Rugsusa!

Prompt delivery and looks great under my dining room table. I was worried that my dining room chairs, with thin legs, might not be stable on such a chunky rug - but there's no problem at all. Only reason I didn't rate it a 5 is that the braided ends are somewhat irregular - some pieces longer than others, some coming untied, etc. I don't mind it - just adds to the textured, rustic look - but worth mentioning.

Great rug. I love the texture and the variety of natural colors woven throughout. It is in our entry way and seems durable but not too rough. It is thick - so it just fit for our front door to swing over top, so something to consider. Another pro - is that many natural fiber rugs have a wavy edge that makes them look cheap. This rug doesn't and the quality look far exceeds the price.

Pros: Looks great, brings a lot of texture into a room, great price for such a large size Cons: quite chunky (as the name implies!). Not something you can slide furniture across at all, as it gets stuck. biggest con of all: as a by product of the natural fiber, occasionally I find small, quite sharp sticks woven into the rug. I'll step on them with my bare feet and poke myself. So far this hasn't happened to my two little kids, but it's bound to. In hindsight, I probably wouldn't have gotten this for a high traffic area (our living room).

Absolutely love our chunky loop 9X12 rug! It's in our master bedroom and we love how it feels under foot. It's soft, and natural...just love it! It really lightens up our room, and gives is a less formal feel. I will say the braided portion (fringe) is in a high traffic spot, and is stepped on multiple times a day, and I have had to rebraid one of the fringes. Overall, so so great. Would recommend!

Arrived super quick! I agree with some buyers that the rug was wet, i think it sweat inside the plastic wrap. However, i kind of liked the smell! it reminded me of spring. It was gone in two days, I laid the rug right out, no problems getting it to lay flat at all. it looks great and hides all the dog hair! easy to vacuum too. Fabulous value and find for the price. will buy from rugsusa again for sure!
