I like this rug despite
several issues with it. It was
not cut straight, so it takes
some maneuvering to get it to
look right and lay flat. The
color is a muted red which
varies from one end of the rug
to the other, resulting in
some areas that look pink/rose
colored. The pile of the
carpet lays decidedly in one
direction, making it extremely
difficult to vacuum (you can
only run the vacuum in one
direction...so you must start
at one end, push the vac to
the other, then lift the
vacuum and carry it back to
the starting end &
repeat...quite a hassle).
However, despite those issues,
the design and old-world
aesthetic of this rug is just
what I was looking for. I
think it will last for years
without going out of style,
it's got a classic,
Moroccan-type vibe. It's a
soft, good looking rug which
did not have a funky smell. I
wish it was a true 8x10 sized
rug though, as the missing
6-8" on each side make it look
a tiny bit dinky under my
dining room table.
